The Odyssey is being designed so that creative trust is reflected in the technology, the operating model and the choices given to every member.
This page describes our design commitments during development. Before the public launch, it will be replaced with verified production controls, supplier details and clear service policies.
Clear AI boundaries
We will explain when content is sent to an AI service, why it is needed and what controls apply. Creative work will not quietly become training material.
Access you can see
Collaboration permissions will be explicit, reviewable and revocable. Sensitive actions will be recorded and account protection will support strong authentication.
Work you can take
Export is part of the product, not an emergency exit. Members should be able to retain their writing and core project structure in useful formats.
Less data, deliberately
We will collect only what the service needs, keep it only as long as justified and make retention choices understandable.
Honest disclosure
Security concerns can be reported to security@the-odyssey.co.uk. A formal vulnerability disclosure process will be published before launch.
